 John Gere, AIA, NCARB

Beginning professional practice in 1969, John Gere has served as a managing principal since 1987. He brings to the SGGM family the legacy of an architectural firm established in 1871. Through that heritage, his dedication to historic building restoration and adaptive reuse has been a natural evolution. He has built substantial experience in projects that provide social, medical, elderly, spiritual, and mental health care to our community. Continuing clients include the City of Davenport, Luther Manor of Scott County, Handicapped Development Center, Iowa Masonic Care Facility, and Salvation Army.

Mr. Gere is an accomplished musician and composer in his private life and has produced several albums of his creations. His time investment on the Davenport Plan & Zoning Commission, Rotary, Arrowhead Ranch Board, and church are an extension of his professional and spiritual life.
